‘Onwards and Upwards!’

Friends of Longlands School (FOLS)

Our Parent Teacher Association, known as Friends of Longlands School (FOLS), plays a vital role in bringing our school community together and raising funds to support and enrich school life.

FOLS is made up of parents, carers and staff who work together to organise events such as our popular winter and summer fayres, bake sales, and other exciting activities throughout the year. The team is always full of great ideas and is looking forward to introducing new events that help build connections and create lasting memories for our children and families.

The funds raised by FOLS go directly towards enhancing the school environment and supporting pupil wellbeing. Most recently, FOLS funded the purchase of new bike and scooter racks to encourage healthy lifestyles and active travel to school.

As a member of Parentkind, our PTA is part of a national network that supports parent groups in schools across the UK. PTAs help strengthen the partnership between home and school, giving families a voice and helping schools go the extra mile for their pupils. You can learn more about what PTAs do by visiting Parentkind.

If you would like to get involved or find out more, FOLS can be contacted via the school office or by email at pta@longlands.herts.sch.uk
