CHEXS – Supporting Families Together
At Longlands Primary School, we are proud to work in partnership with CHEXS, a family support charity based in Broxbourne. As a school, we contribute financially to this service because we believe in the importance of supporting the whole child, not just academically but emotionally and socially too.
CHEXS provides tailored support to children, young people and their families through a range of programmes and services. These include:
- The GROWTH Programme, which helps children build confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing through outdoor learning, creative projects and coaching.
- Family Support Services, offering one-to-one and group sessions to help parents and carers strengthen communication, manage behaviour and build positive relationships.
- Leadership and Community Projects, encouraging children to take part in activities that promote teamwork, responsibility and pride in their local environment.
CHEXS works closely with schools to ensure that support is joined-up and responsive to each family’s needs. Their team is approachable, experienced and committed to helping children thrive both in and out of school.
If you would like to support the work CHEXS does in our community, you can make a donation via their official page:
Your support can make a real difference:
- £15 could help a child through a crisis
- £30 could support a family with fuel or energy costs
- £100 could provide one-to-one coaching and support for a whole family
